I bought this unusual item in an antique market in Canton, mainland China. The material is water buffalo bone! You can tell it's made by hand as each little skull is different. Tibetan monks started carving these centuries ago to remind us that life is temporal, and we must make the most of every day, and practice the right way of living always. This kind of hand crafting is very time consuming! Size is 2 ¾ inches diameter. About 8-inches long - fits all but the largest wrist. |
