Price is per four of these beautiful beads - drilled as in picture. Each measures 15mm. Gaspeite is light green to apple green and is relatively rare. The color comes from the fact that it is found around nickel sulfides. Named after the Gaspe' Peninsula in Quebec where it was originally found, although today, most is mined in Australia. Although a similar color to turquoise, gaspeite is a nickel carbonate. Gaspeite is a little softer than turquoise, and should be treated with at least as much care. |
